I use www.freehostia.com - and no, I don't get a kickback from them - I have found them to have very good packages, good support, and an excellent record of site uptime.

They have free packages, as well as slightly better ones for US$1.95 per month (paid annually) and more if you require larger and more extensive hosting packages. You will find their web site at http://www.freehostia.com.

It is a bit of a mission to set your domain name up here and configure your mail, so if you would like me to do that for you, it will cost AU$25 (US$20).

Next - Domain name or not domain name.

OK, Let's say you're business name is "Fred's Art Supplies".

You need to decide if you are going to have a domain name, say

www.FredsArt.com
- or -
www.ArtSupplies.com

(if they're available - i.e. not used yet). This will cost US$15 for a .com and AU$50 for a .com.au, if you purchase them through me.

If you're happy to have a sub domain i.e.

www.shesalt.com/ArtSupplies/

then that's free from me for the first year as part of your web site design price.
